What a day on Lake Berryessa this week, bed fish everywhere anglers are talking how fun it was. All but four teems weighed in fish. We had 437 fish brought to the scales with 94 boats, that is a lot of teams to weigh in. The average fish weighed 2.997 pounds, that lake is alive. With overcast and muggy weather all day long with very little breeze the bite just got better as the day got longer as you anglers told their stories.
1st
Coming to the scales was the team of Brad Ford and Brad Saurage with 28.03 lb with a 10.30 kicker. This beautiful bag had spots and smallmouth in it they fished deep in the morning shallow in the afternoon with swim baits throughout the day. For the win their earnings were a whopping $4,030.00.
2nd
Troy Deguchi and Dustin Keen also put down a smack down with 25.22 lb their big bass of their bag weighed 7.94 lb they told the crowd that they drop shotted fishing shallow and deep throughout the day their earnings $1900,00 for a days work.
3rd
Ryan Bottini and Nick Nourot rounding out the top three fishing weightless worms and drop shots slow on the bottom all day long. Their bag weighed 24.67 lb and their biggest fish was 6.33 lb for their wallet enlargement they walked away with $1060.00.
In the Smallboat division which had only four boats the anglers decided to add their money into the pool with the big boat trying to grab the the brass ring like everyone else, coming to the scales to top it off and taking first place was the team of Rob Ohnmacht and Michael Oconnor they had a great day on the water fishing shakey heads and dart heads slow on the bottom weighing a great bag of fish at 17.88 lb
