Well the second to last tournament for the BBT coastal region was held on may.18,2013 at San Antonio lake. From the time I got to the lake on Friday afternoon and got some insight from anglers I ran into the fishing was going to be tough. I got to go out for a few hours and they weren't kidding,it was definitely going to be a grind for all the teams. We started signups at the front gate of the lake at 0 dark thirty as we anticipated the rush of anglers who were ready to battle the tough conditions. Signups went fairly fast and in no time we moved down to the ramp for blast off. We ended up with 21 teams ready to do battle,and a few teams battling for the angler of the year lead position coming into this tournament we had a tie for angler of the year standings. Once all the teams were off,I had a chance to drive around the lake and see if I could get some photos of anglers in action,not as easy as I thought.So with that said it was time to get ready for the weigh in of what was to be a tough day on the water. Weigh in went as smooth as we could make it with the wind gusting through the parking lot. Once the scales were closed and the results were tallied, the winners of day and new leading anglers of the year was the team of Jason Lazzerini and Geno Lazzerini with a total weight of 13.09lbs. and a cash prize of $950,In second place was Mitch Wasley and Mike Wasley with a weight of 11.33lbs. and a cash prize of $590,Third place was Danny Conatser and Dan Dostal with 10.50lbs and a cash prize of $550,Fourth place went to Jeremy Gearhart and Jason Martin with a weight of 10.21lbs and a cash prize of $190,First place big fish money went to Mike Garza with a 3.48lb big fish for a cash prize of $190,second big fish went to Eddie Davidson and Matt Messina with a 3.48lb big fish for $65.I want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting myself and the BBT and I hope to see all of you at the next one on june.8th at Nacimiento.
