The second tournament of the BBT Coastal region kicked off at Lake Lopez. Rain played a huge part in this event The fish were moving up shallow due to the weather change. From what the anglers were saying the rain totally changed the bite from fish being in excess of 80ft. deep to the fish moving up to as shallow as 5ft. Jigs and weightless worms like the Berkley Back Slide seemed to be the baits of choice for most of the teams across the board. Although soaking wet and wore out everyone said they had a great time and are ready for the next event. 21lbs topped the field of 36 teams with a 9.10lb Largemouth also coming to the scales. Thank you to all the teams that came out and battled the weather, I hope to see some more new faces at the upcoming events.
